Last year, I took an English language course in Finland. I was beginner and it is very help to start improving. Then, I needed an English language course, but higher level. As London is very expensive, I looked another English speaking countries. My friend, who lived in Malta, recommended me the Chamber College. She said that this college is not very famous for Russian student, as good for me. It means, I can focus only in English and don’t speak in my own language. Since I am here, I have been improving a lot. Now, I can understand different accents, because I should speak with students from different countries. As for accommodation, I live in a Maltese family. I think that I am very lucky! The conditions for living are very comfortable. Every day I have a dinner with them and we speak in English a lot. They are very helpful, kind and cook very good.
Hi, my name is Sayaka Shimizu and I am staying in Malta for two months and maybe a bit more. Malta is very beautiful!! Buildings are very cute!! I have friends in Chamber College, various students from different countries come here …It’s good. I want to make a lot of friends from different cultures. I’m very happy! Because if I didn’t come here, I wouldn’t have made these friends.
I like Chamber College because the teachers have been very nice with me, I leave the school with new words learned. Every day the teachers and staff of school asked me, how are you to start a conversation and speak in English. In Chamber College, everydays there are activities, like sports, trips, watch English film together and the Wednesday there is a free conversation class, it is good to know people and speak more English.
- Why did you choose Malta? I had some friend already there, they all told me that it was a beautiful island so I just followed their advice and came there. - How is your experience in Chamber College? Actually it was quite difficult when I started because it was a new country and a new language to learn. My adaptation was good thanks to the staff especially the leaders who take care about mixing people and let us meet each other. Are you happy with the course? Yes, the courses are interesting thanks to the teachers who take all the time care to explain if we don’t understand. Comparing to my courses in France we can really feel that they are here to help us. They are very friendly with us which help to be more interested. - What was the most interesting thing about your stay in Malta? The most interesting thing is to meet people from everywhere, with a culture, different religion, it’s an amazing experience. I wish I could stay more time but I have to go back to France but I’ll come back Malta for sure. What was your favourite activity? It depends, quite all activities are good but my favourites are the relaxing ones as chill out in some beach clubs for example. Comino and the Boat Parties are just wonderful, you can’t describe those activities. And of course the Welcome party and karaoke are really nice to keep meeting new and old students. - Do you have any suggestions to those who are planning to come to Malta? Yes sure! First of all don’t be shy, enjoy a lot! It’s a wonderful experience! I advise everyone to experience this.
I was at Chamber College as a long-term student and decided for this school because of the special offer they give. After 13 weeks I can say it was a good decision to stay here because of the following reasons: 1. Chamber College is close to the capital Valletta 2. The school is not so huge therefore very personal 3. The stuff is friendly and organized 4. The teachers are knowledgeably, open-minded & polite 5. You get all material you need for your study 6. The apartments are close to the school very modern, clean, all equipment you need is inside 7. You have a cosmopolitan and pleasant atmosphere.
